    The more garments you hire out with us, the more money you can potentially make. Whether it’s cocktail, ball, party or weekend attire we would love to see your current and classic designer pieces.

    HOW IT WORKS:

    Send through your designer dresses to us and start earning a commission for your hires. We take away all the stress of hiring including dry-cleaning, packaging and sending, and repairs, and you get paid each time one of your garments is hired with us! It's as simple as that!
    • We accept all designer dresses and garments of all sizes – as long as they are in new or excellent condition and are less than 18 months old.
    • The garments must come to us dry cleaned or professionally cleaned and must be authentic.
    • Items that do not meet these requirements will not be approved and will be sent back.
    • If you have the original receipt or tags, please send these to us with your garment. This will help us to determine an appropriate hire price. If you do not have these, we will research and determine a price based on the original selling price of your garment.
    • All garments will be reviewed and inspected by our team, prior to us listing on our site on your behalf. Approval will be based on quality of the garment, likelihood of it being hired out with our customer base and whether it meets our requirements set out above.
    • We approve or disapprove consignment garments within 7 business days. 
    • When choosing to hire your clothing through Dress Hire NZ Ltd you are agreeing to us holding onto your clothing at our Auckland-based studio. If you do not feel comfortable with Dress Hire NZ Ltd holding onto your clothing, unfortunately we will not be able to hire your clothing out for you.
    • Our consignment agreements are for 6 months and your clothing will be listed on our website for this period of time. If there are no hires for your garments during this time, we have the right to return the garments to you at an earlier date.
    • Contracts can be renewed after the initial 6 months.
    • As a consigner, you will earn 50% of the hire price after shipping and cleaning fees has been applied.
    • For each hire, you will be sent a bank transfer of the funds you are owed at the beginning of each month based on the previous months bookings.
    • If there is damage to your garment, we will ensure the damage is repaired. Please note that we do not take responsibility for general wear and tear, as this is to be expected over time. We take great care of our beautiful garments and will do the same with yours, this means we will carry out repairs as needed to extend the life of your items. *It’s very important to note that as this is a hire service, there will be evidence of general wear and tear on your item(s) due to the nature of a hire company - unfortunately this is out of our control if it occurs. This is unavoidable and though we take the utmost care too gently clean items, they are being worn so they will naturally age.
    You must not list your garments anywhere else for sale or hire while consigning with Dress Hire NZ Ltd.
