Postal Try On - Try Before You Hire
Not sure if it's the one? We get it – finding the dress is a whole vibe. Our Postal Try On service lets you try your favourite piece at home before you commit to hiring it for your event. No guessing, no stress, just you, your mirror, and the perfect fit check.
Here’s how it works:
- PTO’s are an on-request service only, so reach out to us via hello@dresshirenz.co.nz or via Instagram @dresshirenz to get the ball rolling. Availability is limited as we always prioritise garments for confirmed event bookings, so the sooner you get in touch the better!
- Try it on, fall in love (or don't!) Your garment will arrive ready for a fitting. Try it on, check the fit, check the feel – this is your moment to decide.
- Return it the next working day. The garment needs to be scanned in at any NZ Post shop the next working day. Easy.
- Lock it in. If it's a YES, go ahead and book it through our calendar. If it's a no, no worries – on to the next!
- There is a fitting cost of $30 + return shipping. Shipping costs vary depending on your location (metro vs. rural) and the size of the garment. You'll see the exact amount at checkout. No surprises.
- Remember to check with us for availability for PTO as you can’t book this service without a unique code (which is specific to you!) to use at checkout … otherwise you will be charged for the full hire price.
- A few things to keep in mind: PTO is a fitting service, not a hire – garments must be returned unworn and in perfect condition with all swing tags intact. We'll place-hold your event date during your PTO period, but it will be released back to the booking calendar within 3 days of your try-on commencing. So don't sit on it – if it's the one, move fast! A PTO does not guarantee garment availability for your event date. Full terms and conditions apply – please review our [Hire Agreement/T&Cs link] before requesting your PTO.
